As 2024 draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a successful year that saw a ton of growth and innovation at Kamatera. Let’s go over some of the highlights.

Expanding our global footprint

One of our most significant achievements this year has been the global expansion of our data center locations. We’ve added three new sites across the United States (Atlanta, Seattle, and Los Angeles) and three across the Asia-Pacific region (Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo), a move that brings our high-performance cloud services closer to our diverse global clientele and their customers. Each of our new locations has unique features that make them valuable:

Atlanta: A robust technological ecosystem, with a strong presence of Fortune 500 companies and a thriving tech startup scene.

Seattle: Home to tech giants like Microsoft and Amazon, the region offers an unparalleled technological ecosystem.

Los Angeles: Strategic point for data center expansion, particularly for serving the West Coast and connecting to global networks.

Singapore: An advanced telecommunications network and status as a major internet hub make it an ideal nexus in Southeast Asia.

Sydney: This essential point for cloud services in the Oceania region offers digital infrastructure as well as multiple submarine cable connections.

Tokyo: The epitome of technological sophistication represents an essential node in the Asia-Pacific cloud services network.

Multilingual accessibility

Breaking down the language barrier on our website was a no-brainer. Since our clients are located around the globe, it only makes sense to offer content in the languages that they speak. With expanded content in German, Russian, Spanish, and now, French, we’ve made information accessible to a broader international audience. By ensuring that language is no longer a barrier to accessing top-tier cloud services, we’ve made significant strides in improving the accessibility of our website.

We’ve also expanded the offerings on our Marketplace in the past year, with more apps and services that our customers can easily buy, click, and deploy to their servers. We’ve added images for Harbor, Chatwoot, TeamSpeak, OPNsense, and CloudPanel

Harbor brings enterprise-grade container registry and management capabilities, while Chatwoot offers an open-source customer engagement platform that allows seamless multichannel communication. TeamSpeak’s high-performance voice chat is perfect for gaming communities and remote teams, and OPNsense delivers a powerful firewall and routing platform with advanced security features. Complementing these services, CloudPanel provides an intuitive, lightweight control panel for managing web hosting environments.

We hope you’ll enjoy using these new offerings, and as always, take advantage of our 24/7 live tech support if you have any issues or problems.

VPSServer integration

When Kamatera purchased VPSServer, our goal was to combine VPSServer’s specialized services with Kamatera’s comprehensive cloud ecosystem to create a more robust, versatile platform for businesses. We wanted to preserve VPSServer’s core strengths while providing both our customer sets with enhanced capabilities. We’ve tried to maintain VPSServer’s distinct brand identity as we welcomed the company to the Kamatera family, preserving the value of its established reputation and loyal customer base.

Enhanced customer support

We’re committed to providing exceptional technical assistance, we’ve amplified our support offerings by launching an online knowledgebase, providing you with self-service resources and troubleshooting tips. Appreciating our customers’ need for faster problem resolution, we launched a comprehensive online knowledgebase. This resource provides:

In the knowledgebase, you’ll find everything from “How to Connect to Your Server” to “How to Open a Port for Incoming Traffic in Windows Firewall” to “How to Secure NGINX With Let’s Encrypt on Ubuntu 22.0.”

Each article in the knowledgebase has easy-to-follow instructions, illustrated with screenshots at each step of the way.

In addition to our global and brand expansions, we’ve remained committed to innovative product enhancements. You’ll see a new and robust firewall configuration feature in your console, giving you enhanced security control and providing more sophisticated protection for your data.

One final note: Unlike many of our competitors in the cloud services industry, we have maintained our current pricing structure, despite inflationary pressures. While other providers have responded to rising operational costs by increasing their prices, we have not. We know budgets can be tight, so we’ve prioritized building long-term partnerships and delivering exceptional value.

In the coming year, we hope to continue to invest in our infrastructure, expand our global footprint, and enhance our product offerings to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Here’s to another year of pushing boundaries, breaking barriers, and transforming the cloud computing landscape.
